Chaitanya Tamhane’s Marathi movie Court is India’s official entry to Oscars

Mumbai: Chaitanya Tamhane’s introduction Marathi movie Court, a court show which won a National Film Award, was on Wednesday picked as India’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film classification at the 88th Academy Awards.
The news was confirmed to IANS by Supran Sen, secretary general of the Film Federation of India (FFI), which chooses the nation’s official entry in the Best Foreign Film classification of the prestigious Oscars.
This year, the 17-part jury to pick the entry was going by veteran performing artist movie producer Amol Palekar, who additionally confirmed to IANS that “Court” is the divinely selected individual.
As indicated by reports, “PK”, “Masaan”, “Mary Kom”, “Haider”, “Kaaka Muttai”, “Baahubali” and “Kuttram Kadithal” were among the movies that the jury likewise viewed.
